LA RACE

Somewhere between brutal trance, doom and no-wave, La Race produces a rock that is difficult to define, but is most certainly closer to industrial music than to your favorite Rolling Stones song. Wounded guitar shrilling viciously, sacrificed drums seemingly willing to abandon all humanity to get as close as possible to the cold emotions of a drum machine, barely understandable voice… Everything here is guttural, there are sneezings, screams, throat clearings, barkings… It’s quite clear that the message this trio is discharging is in line with the sound canvas that carries it.
